Every year, the Federal Government’s Open Day in Berlin is one of the largest public political events in Germany. Alongside the Federal Government itself, public authorities, partners and NGOs also present themselves to give interested members of the public an insight into everyday life in political Berlin. For the first time, ISAR Germany also took part in this special event. At the invitation of the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany, we presented our work abroad in the Europa Saal, reported on rescue operations in Turkey, Haiti and around the world, and also took the opportunity to introduce the next generation of ISAR members to this important venue.

Nine-week-old Magic, our youngest Belgian Shepherd, was introduced to the public alongside the two experienced rescue dogs, Mable and Sir Henry, and enjoyed a few strokes. We also demonstrated our search and rescue technology, such as a Searchcam.
