Medical care for medical emergencies in the Philippine city of Tacloban City will be improved in future.
I.S.A.R. Germany and the Humanitarian Aid Department of the BRH Bundesverband Rettungshunde e.V. have now handed over a new ambulance to the city's fire brigade.
The ambulance had been built in the capital Manila in recent weeks. It has now been transferred to Tacloban by the I.S.A.R/BRH team. After 22 hours, the ambulance was handed over to the comrades in Tacloban. Intensive training is currently underway to familiarise the firefighters with the new equipment.
Typhoon Haiyan destroyed a large part of the region's infrastructure in 2013. As a result, several reconstruction projects have been carried out in recent years. These now include the brand new and modernly equipped ambulance.
