The new medical director of the aid organisation I.S.A.R. Germany is Dr Frederic Ruckert from Wiesbaden. The 32-year-old has been a member of the organisation for over five years and has already worked for I.S.A.R. several times abroad, including in the Philippines and Nepal. Exercises have taken him to Poland and Switzerland.
Ruckert spent the first three years of his career in the trauma, hand and reconstructive surgery and visceral surgery departments at the GPR Clinic in Rüsselsheim. Ruckert then moved to the internal medicine department at St Josef's Hospital in Wiesbaden. He also works as an emergency doctor in the city.
As medical director of I.S.A.R. Germany, Frederic Ruckert has set himself the goal of having the aid organisation's medical team certified by the World Health Organisation (WHO) for international missions in the near future. The team is deployed on I.S.A.R. search and rescue missions and in humanitarian disasters.
