Inner Wheel can look back on a successful 50-year history in Germany since the the first club was founded in Lübeck in 1968. Friendship with one another, social commitment and international understanding are still the primary the women's service organisation.

To mark this anniversary, the Duisburg Inner Wheelers made a generous donation. Gitta Neisius, the President of the Duisburg club, presented the President and founder of I.S.A.R. Germany, Daniela Lesmeister, with a cheque for 2,000 euros: „We are proud that a globally active, voluntary disaster relief organisation like I.S.A.R. Germany is based in our city. We are therefore happy to support this work,“ says Gitta Neisius.

The ladies of the Inner Wheel Club met Daniela Lesmeister and the emergency services at the I.S.A.R. training centre in Weeze and immediately took the opportunity to find out about the procedures and possible difficulties involved in rescue operations.

Daniela Lesmeister expressed her thanks for the donation: „We are delighted with this generous support. Because we can only provide help if people like you help us.“
