Last week, our medical director Milton Scheder and Dr Steven Bayer were in Mexico City on the road. They organised a workshop on the management and coordination of disaster relief operations. This was financed by Rotary Germany. The workshop was based on the globally recognised INSARAG standards.
The training also incorporated experience from the deployment following the severe earthquake in Mexico two years ago. The workshop was attended by representatives of the civil protection organisation Brigada Rotaria de Seguridad y Rescatethe Mexican Red Cross and SAR Mexico.
