The aid organisations I.S.A.R. Germany and BRH Bundesverband Rettungshunde are supporting the city of Duisburg in the fight against the coronavirus. The equipment intended for international relief operations is being made available to the city for a „makeshift clinic“. On Monday morning, the equipment was brought from the warehouse in Hünxe to Duisburg.
The city had vacated a previous rehabilitation ward to set up a clinic for hospital patients not suffering from coronavirus. The equipment provided by I.S.A.R. and BRH will be used to provide patients with comprehensive medical care. An X-ray machine, equipment for sterilising medical equipment and devices for blood gas analysis, equipment for intubating patients and defibrillators will be handed over. The city of Duisburg will also receive disinfectants and protective masks for the makeshift clinic. Over the next few days, members of the I.S.A.R. and BRH medical team will instruct the clinic staff on how to use the equipment.
