I.S.A.R. on the way to the earthquake zone in Haiti

The aid organisations I.S.A.R. Germany and BRH Bundesverband Rettungshunde have sent a reconnaissance team to the Haitian earthquake region. The team includes five experts from the fields of international disaster response management, medicine and search and rescue of buried victims. The experts' task is to analyse the situation in the disaster region, support and advise the local authorities and, if necessary, prepare the deployment of a larger rescue team. The reconnaissance team arrived in Port-au-Prince on Sunday evening local time. Talks with government representatives are planned for Monday.
