I.S.A.R. Germany is preparing for deployment on the Polish-Ukrainian border.
Hundreds of thousands of people have already fled the war in Ukraine. Many more families are currently trying to leave the country. A reconnaissance team from the partner organisations I.S.A.R. Germany and BRH Bundesverband Rettungshunde is currently on its way to the Polish-Ukrainian border. Their task is to find out exactly how much help is needed. To this end, they are working closely with the local authorities. The team already has 150 sleeping bags, baby food and toys with them. The donations are to be handed over on the Ukrainian side to the people who have to wait for hours to cross the border.
A further 1,500 sleeping bags can be delivered in the near future. The team also includes a psychologist who is available to talk to people at the border. I.S.A.R. Germany is an aid organisation from North Rhine-Westphalia that is certified for international aid operations. The Emergency Medical Team (EMT) set up jointly with the BRH has been certified by the World Health Organisation since 2018. If necessary, the team can be alerted quickly to provide prompt medical assistance in the border region with Ukraine.
The organisations can also contribute their experience from the management of humanitarian missions. There has already been an exchange with the Polish authorities on this too. In the next few days, a transmission van from the partner company ixet will also be brought to the border. Managing Director and I.S.A.R. Vice President Mario Teschke will set up a communication centre. Refugees will then be able to make free phone calls to their relatives. A WLAN network for 1,500 simultaneous users will also be set up.
The company ixet also collects power banks and charging cables.
These can be placed in a collection box directly at the company or sent by post:
