Beate and Gabriel Fibinger thanked their friends and supporters at the award ceremony. Without them, they would not have got this far. At the same time, they expressed their wish that voluntary work, especially rescue dog work, should receive more appreciation and support at a political level.

Beate and Gabriel Fibinger have been members of I.S.A.R. Germany for many years. They were deployed in the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan (2013), after an earthquake in Nepal (2015) and in Haiti (2021), among other places. The Chairman of the Dreikönigsverein, Rainer Prachtl, explained that the Fibinger couple are thus "setting an example of global solidarity in disaster relief". BRH board member Holger Grinnus also thanked the Fibingers on behalf of I.S.A.R. Germany for their voluntary commitment. If something happens abroad, they are there to help and you can rely on them.

Established in 1994, the Siemerling Social Prize honours people who have made a special contribution to Christian-humanist, cultural or social values. The award is named after the Siemerling family, whose members have worked as doctors, pharmacists, merchants and bankers in Neubrandenburg for several generations since the 18th century.
