On the occasion of the bank holidays of the Republic of Haiti, the country's ambassador to Germany H.E. Frantz Bataille also invited I.S.A.R. Germany to a reception in Berlin. He thanked the joint team from I.S.A.R. Germany and the partner organisation BRH once again for their efforts following the severe earthquake in August last year. Our medical team was deployed on the island of Grande Cayemites and was able to treat over 800 patients there. These included 200 children and 90 pregnant women.
I.S.A.R. Germany was represented in Berlin by office manager Peter Janssen. He was able to hold talks with numerous representatives from Latin American countries on the fringes of the meeting. The topic of disaster relief took centre stage. This exchange will be continued in the near future.
