In mid-September, members of the I.S.A.R. localisation team, the rescue team and the medical team took part in a joint training course at the Training Centre Rescue and Relief (TCRH) in Mosbach to prepare for possible missions abroad.

In addition to theoretical training sessions on measuring gases, supplying emergency services and the danger of radioactivity, the main focus was on the practical use of rescue equipment. Among other things, the handling of the ring saw and the safe support of buildings in danger of collapse were practised. The search and rescue of missing persons was also practised in a final exercise for all units. Training and exercises are a regular part of I.S.A.R. Germany's voluntary work. They form the basis for all operations at home and abroad.
