We know that and our medical team knows that in particular. For this reason, the I.S.A.R. Germany Medical Team, together with two medics from the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), used the past weekend at Training Base Weeze GmbH & Co. KG to specifically train the procedures for rescuing people at risk of death. Coached by the company's experts MegaMed we not only practised rescuing people from vehicles, but also familiarised ourselves with rescue equipment, emergency medication and examination techniques. An exciting, instructive and challenging weekend, but one that leaves us wanting more!
The focus was on the practical application of life-saving measures under realistic conditions. This included simulating various scenarios to prepare the teams for different challenges. The collaboration with the THW medics was particularly valuable, as they were able to give us valuable insights and tips from their extensive experience.
In addition to technical training, great emphasis was also placed on improving team communication and coordination, as these factors are crucial for success in emergencies. Each participant had the opportunity to act in different roles and thus develop a comprehensive understanding of the entire rescue chain.
Such intensive training sessions are essential in order to be optimally prepared in the event of an emergency. We are proud of what we achieved this weekend and look forward to being able to use our knowledge and skills in future operations for the benefit of people.
All in all, it was a very successful and motivating weekend that brought us all even closer together as a team. We are looking forward to the next instalment and the other challenges that lie ahead.
