The World Health Organisation (WHO) has once again certified our medical team for international operations. I.S.A.R. Germany thus continues to provide a so-called Emergency Medical Team (EMT) Type 1, which means that the treatment of patients is guaranteed in a field-based emergency department with several medical specialities. The team therefore includes internists, surgeons, paediatricians, general practitioners, emergency paramedics, nurses, midwives and physiotherapists. Through the certification of the medical teams
the World Health Organisation to ensure uniform medical standards in the care of patients in crisis areas (e.g. after natural disasters).
The auditors inspected I.S.A.R Germany's equipment, level of training and workflows on Saturday in Hünxe. The WHO certified our organisation for the first time in 2018. ISAR Managing Director Michael Lesmeister thanked the entire team for their performance. The enormous voluntary commitment makes it possible for ISAR to help people worldwide in emergency situations. It has also contributed to the fact that ISAR is now an internationally recognised and respected aid organisation.
