I.S.A.R. in dialogue with Ukrainian authorities

Our team leader in Poland, Dr Steven Bayer, met with the District Administrator of the Lviv region in Ukraine, Khrystyna Zamula, and the District Administrator of the Polish Powiat Lubaczowski, Zenon Swatek. Interim results: 53 tonnes of relief supplies delivered to Ukraine so far

  I.S.A.R. Germany and BRH, the Federal Association of Rescue Dogs, have brought 53 tonnes of relief supplies to the crisis region since the start of the war in Ukraine. Several lorries initially transported the equipment to a warehouse in Poland. From there, aid transports were sent to the town of Zhytomyr, around 100 kilometres from Kiev. 15 tonnes of relief supplies on their way to Ukraine with I.S.A.R.

An aid transport from I.S.A.R. Germany and the partner organisation BRH Bundesverband Rettungshunde departed from Hünxe in North Rhine-Westphalia to Ukraine at midday. On board are several tonnes of equipment for the intensive medical care of patients. This includes medication, anaesthetics, infusions, surgical instruments, an operating table, surgical clothing, bandages and ventilators.
